Government-Backed Loans
There are three types of government-backed mortgages:
- USDA loans, which are backed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, help buyerswho meet income requirements and want to buy a rural property.
- VA loans, which are insured by the Department of Veterans Affairs, help current military service members and veterans to be able to afford a home by low- or no down payment options and competitive mortgage rates.
- FHA loans, which are insured by the Federal Housing Administration, believe in making home ownership accessible and help first-time buyers by allowing a very low down payment.
